Toni King

Toni is a mission-driven communications professional with more than 10 years of experience in developing and executing data-informed marketing strategies to meet client goals. After years of successful operations management gigs in Philadelphia, San Francisco and Northern Virginia, Toni moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where her writing skills, can-do attitude and affinity for tech caught the attention of the Director of Communications and Research at the nonprofit Center for Responsible Lending, an affiliate of Self-Help Credit Union. Toni was asked to sub in as webmaster during a search for a digital communications manager that ended up lasting seven years, providing her with invaluable training and experience in marketing, communications, advocacy and fundraising. A collegial project manager who exercises good stewardship of trust and funds, Toni leads by influence and thrives on coaching and encouraging teammates, clients and partners. Toni is a graduate of Temple University. She is currently embedded within the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child Development and Early Education where she and her Neimand Collaborative teammates manage Raise NC, a public education campaign spotlighting the state’s historic role in early childhood education, and the dire need for renewed commitment and investment in early care and learning. Toni lives in Raleigh with her daughter, a senior at North Carolina’s Elon University.
