
Karolyn Cooper
Senior Social Impact Strategist
Karolyn is a highly experienced nonprofit leader and social impact professional with a background in qualitative and quantitative research, digital and integrated marketing communications strategy and implementation and social impact partnerships.
She previously served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Project Lead The Way and Director of Partner Insights and Growth at New Teacher Center, both national education non-profits with missions to advance educational outcomes and increase access to STEM career pathways for underserved students. Karolyn matured the organizations’ marketing practices in these roles, elevated impact storytelling to improve engagement, executed demand-generation campaigns and facilitated community, employer, industry and K-12 district partner collaboration and program synergy to achieve measurable impact.
Prior to transitioning to the education nonprofit sector, Karolyn worked for Artemis Strategy Group, a Neimand Collaborative research partner, where she led qualitative and quantitative research to inform social impact messaging communications and campaign strategy for financial services, healthcare, philanthropy and education clients. Before that, she spent several years leading marketing, research and competitive intelligence teams in the manufacturing sector and at supplier-side research firms for Fortune 500 clients in the financial services, pharmaceuticals and consumer-packaged goods industries.
Karolyn holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sociology and a professional certificate in Social Impact Partnerships from Georgetown University and Advanced Market Research from the University of Georgia. She resides in South Carolina with her family.
